Workflow

From the recording to a week of posts

The same four steps every week. Only the file changes.

  1. 01

    Record

Record the episode the way you always do. A wide shot with both of you in frame gives the crop room to switch.

    MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV

  2. 02

    Upload

Ask for an upload URL and PUT the file there, or send a direct link to the file in your own storage.

    POST /v1/uploads

  3. 03

    Get ranked clips

clipsdk transcribes the episode, scores every candidate moment from 0 to 100 and renders the best ones with captions.

    score + reason per clip

  4. 04

    Post

Each clip comes with a title, a post caption with hashtags and its timestamps. Schedule one a day until the next episode.

Recommended request

The request we'd send for a podcast

Seven clips cover a week. The length range fits a full story, and bold captions carry the clip for anyone watching with the sound off.

Clipsclips
7

One short a day until the next episode is out.

Clip lengthmin_seconds, max_seconds
25 to 60 s

Long enough for a story with a payoff, short enough to hold attention.

Full screen on phones, rendered at 1080x1920.

Reframereframe

The 9:16 frame moves to whoever is talking, so a two-shot becomes a close-up.

Big words, one highlighted at a time, readable with the sound off.

FAQ

Podcast clipping, answered

How many clips do I get from one podcast episode?

Up to 20 per request, each 10 to 90 seconds long. Ask for 7 and you have one short a day until the next episode. The price stays the same either way: a 60 minute episode costs ~$1.80.

Does the crop follow both speakers?

Yes. With reframe set to auto, the 9:16 frame moves to whoever is talking, so a wide shot of two people becomes a close-up of the speaker. Send the episode with everyone in frame and the crop does the switching.

Can I send a YouTube link to the episode?

No. YouTube page links aren't accepted. Upload the episode file you exported, or pass a direct file URL from your own storage. MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV files work, up to 3 hours and 5 GB.

Can I steer which moments it picks?

Yes. Add a prompt such as "stories about money or pricing" or "advice a listener can use today" and the ranking leans toward those moments. Every clip still gets a score from 0 to 100 and a one-line reason.

What comes with each clip besides the video?

A title, a post caption with hashtags, the transcript, start and end times, a poster image, and SRT and VTT caption files. Post them as they are or edit them in your scheduler first.

How long can I download the clips?

Clip files stay available for 7 days. Pass a webhook_url and copy the files to your own storage when the finished job arrives.
